Gifts and goodies raise thousands for charity
Shoppers and school pupils helped to raise a record sum for the Trust this November at the sixth annual Hall Grove Gift Fair.
Shoppers were able to stock up on original Christmas gifts assured in the knowledge that a percentage of their spending would be going to support the work of the Trust, while younger visitors could make the most of the enterprising stalls run by Hall Grove pupils and parents.
The event, organised by Sebastian's Action Trust, took place on Saturday 7th November at Hall Grove School in Bagshot. The Fayre featured more than 20 professional stalls selling everything from Christmas cards, decorations and jewellery to golf accessories, home accessories, Mediterranean food and stocking fillers, along with a host of children's stalls, all of which helped to generate an impressive £5,262 for the Trust. When the shopping was done, visitors could sit back and enjoy hot dogs and bacon rolls, cakes, cookies and Winter Pimms.
Jane Gates, Director of Sebastian's Action Trust said: "To have raised more than £5,000 is just fantastic. We are really grateful to all who came along and supported the event, helping to make it our most successful yet.
Particular thanks go to the parents and pupils at Hall Grove School for their continued support." The event was the Trust's sixth Gift Fair at the school in London Road where the Trust's namesake nine-year-old Sebastian Gates was a pupil.
